"A common theme in the Lynch collection is art that bears a local connection to the North Shore, from coastal seascapes to colonial furniture produced in Salem. For a modern audience, what could be a more recognizable symbol of the North Shore than the Hilltop Steakhouse sign? Rendered in stark, contrasting colors, this artist has beautifully captured the feeling of whizzing by the Route 1 landmark on a rainy night."
